Between the D-Day landing beaches and the Bessin countryside, Bayeux offers a uniquely historic setting for a wedding. I work here regularly, in places that carry character and memory.

I have photographed many weddings at the Domaine de Cussy, a Bessin landmark with its hundred beds and wooded grounds, at the Domaine du Grand Caugy — an eighteenth-century farmstead set within a stud farm — as well as at the Domaine de la Cour des Lys and the Domaine d’Aslan, whose 500 m² orangery bathed in natural light has always given me exceptional photographic conditions.
The Bessin has a light all its own — soft, diffuse, almost Nordic. It forgives everything and elevates everything. It is an ideal playground for documentary photography.
