A proposal lasts a few minutes, and there is no doing it again. That is exactly my craft: I am a documentary photographer — I photograph what truly happens, staging nothing. The nerves just before, the question, the hand over the mouth, the yes — all of it real, all of it kept.

Before the day, we plan the spot, the hour and a simple scenario together. When the moment comes, your partner never sees me — and you have only one thing to do: ask the question.

WhatsApp, email or a video call — in English, whatever your timezone, only with you, at the hours you give me. We choose the spot, the hour and the light, and agree on a simple plan: where you stand, what the signal is.

On the day, I am invisible

I am in place before you arrive, at a distance, with a long lens — one stroller among others. Your partner notices me neither before nor during. You ask the question; I photograph everything.

Right after the yes

I leave you that moment first, then you introduce me — the surprise goes on. We continue with a few portraits together, or a full couple session if you chose the complete package.

How do you stay invisible during the proposal?
Everything is planned beforehand, with the person proposing: the exact spot, the hour, where you stand, an agreed signal. On the day I am already in place, at a distance, with a long lens — one stroller among others. Your partner sees me neither before nor during. I only come closer after the yes, and you decide when to introduce me.
How much does a surprise proposal photographer cost in France?
Two packages, everything included: The Moment at 590 € — the proposal photographed in secret, then your first minutes together, with a minimum of 40 photographs; The Moment & the Session at 890 € — the proposal, then a real couple session of an hour and a half straight after, ring on finger, with a minimum of 80 photographs. In both cases you receive every retouched photograph in a private online gallery within 15 days — I never charge per photo — and a 10-photo preview within 48 hours, before you fly home. Scouting and the planning of the surprise are included.
Where should we propose in Normandy?
Mont-Saint-Michel is the most spectacular setting — a photograph I created there received a Fearless Award. But there is also Honfleur and its old harbour, the Étretat cliffs, the D-Day beaches, the Norman châteaux, Saint-Malo an hour away. I scout the spot with you and tell you, for the season and the hour, exactly where the light will be right.
What about the tide at Mont-Saint-Michel?
The tide decides everything. At high tide the Mont is surrounded by the sea — the most dramatic setting; at low tide the bay stretches for kilometres. I live an hour from the bay and photograph it all year round: give me your date, I check it against the tide table and tell you at what hour to propose. That is the kind of detail that forgives nothing — and that no visiting photographer can master.
We are travelling from abroad — how do we keep it secret?
Everything is arranged with you alone, in English, before you travel — WhatsApp, email or a video call, whatever your timezone, at the hours you give me.
