They came all the way from Le Havre to Saint-Lô for a family session. Driving that far for photographs already says how much they matter.
The family portrait session of Angélique, David and their loved ones took place in Saint-Lô, in the Manche. A family who crossed Normandy to capture a moment together — and that changes a session: you can feel they have been waiting for these images.
No stiff poses, no "look at the camera" repeated ten times. We walk, we play, we let the children be children. The best family photos come when everyone stops posing.
The family portrait, without stiffness
A good family session is first and foremost a good atmosphere. My job is to guide just enough for everyone to feel at ease, then to catch the real moments — the fits of laughter, the hugs, the glances.
I photograph families all over Normandy, outdoors or at home. Saint-Lô, Le Havre, the Cotentin, the Calvados — always in natural light.
Thank you to Angélique, David and the whole family for making the trip.
