La Guérie is one of those Normandy estates where nature does half the work. For Virginie and Olivier's wedding, it was generous.
Virginie and Olivier's wedding at Domaine de La Guérie was a full day — full of people, laughter and emotion. The kind of wedding where there is almost nothing to set up: you just have to be there, ready, in the right place.
I photographed the getting ready, the ceremony, and a party that refused to end. Images that move, that are alive, because the day itself would not keep still.
Large estates like La Guérie leave room: for the guests, for the light, for the moments that spill over. It is ideal ground for documentary photography — a lot to tell, and space to tell it.
From the first hairstyle to the last dance, I stay discreet and on hand. The aim: that ten years from now, these images put you right back in the day.
