Nobody invites it. It comes anyway.
Couples dread it in silence. Right up to the last morning, they hope it will fall somewhere else.
A sky that won't sit still.
But here in Normandy, the sky won't sit still. It's sunny, then cold, then warm. The wind picks up, the rain falls, and the sun comes back as if nothing had happened. All in the same day.
That's the charm of this region: light that changes from one minute to the next, and that is sometimes more beautiful than anyone would have dared to hope.

Rain as a tool.
So I don't see rain as an obstacle. I see it as a tool. I stay on the lookout: a laugh in the downpour, a dash for shelter, faces turned to the sky. Umbrellas become shapes, lines in the frame.

One more guest.
Yes, sunshine and warmth are better. Nobody will argue with that. But on the day it invites itself, you have to make room for it. Let it become one more guest, not a problem.
