A moment, rather than a thing.
A jumper, a book, a gift box: we love them for a week, then they go into the cupboard. A photo session is lived twice. On the day itself, an hour with the people you love, at home or outdoors. Then for years, every time you look at the photos.
It is also a present people almost never give themselves. We tell ourselves we'll have photos taken "one day", when the children are older, when we have the time. The gift card puts a date on that "one day".
Who to give it to?
Your parents or your grandparents. Bringing two or three generations together in the same picture. It is the photo you will still be looking at in thirty years.
The two of you. An hour just for the two of you, on a beach, in a forest or at home. I photograph what really happens, without forced poses: no need to know how to pose.
New parents. The session they keep putting off for lack of time. The card waits for them for eighteen months: they will book it when they are ready.
Someone who deserves to see themselves differently. The boudoir session is a moment of self-confidence, guided and confidential.
A photography enthusiast. A one-to-one lesson: two hours to get started with their camera, or a full day on a speciality.
On a small budget. The Discovery package, at €89: a real one-hour session, and a 20 × 30 enlargement of the chosen photo.
How it works.
You choose the package on the gift card page, write the person's first name and a short message, then pay online. The card arrives in your inbox a few minutes later, as an image and as a print-ready PDF. Ordered on the evening of 24 December, it is under the tree the next morning.
The price never appears on the card. Your message, on the other hand, is written on it. A QR code lets the person find their card online, book their session, or move up to a larger package if they wish.
The card is valid for eighteen months. Given at Christmas, it leaves time to wait for the fine weather: spring and summer lend themselves well to outdoor sessions.
I am based in Saint-Lô, in the Manche. Sessions take place all over Normandy, from Cherbourg to Caen, from Granville to Bayeux, and elsewhere in France. Up to 30 km, travel is free. Beyond that, it costs €0.40 per kilometre for the round trip, the first 30 kilometres deducted. You can include it with the card, or the person pays it when booking.
