Brother and sister in the studio

Louise and Edgard are brother and sister. The session took place in a mobile studio, right in their own home — I bring the backdrop, the lighting and the stands, and set up a compact studio in one room of the house. A clean setting, controlled light, and above all children who are at home, at ease, free to move. Unlike a fixed studio you have to travel to, a mobile studio is the very opposite of restrictive for children. It is a neutral space set up within their familiar surroundings.

A brother-and-sister studio portrait session is a chance to capture the bond between them — the laughter, the squabbles, the glances you only share with someone you have known forever. The strongest images are the ones where they lose themselves in each other.

I offer mobile studio portrait sessions in your own home across the Manche, the Calvados and Normandy. You do not have to travel anywhere: I arrive with all the equipment, set up the backdrop and the lighting in one room of the house, and leave an hour later with my images. No transport to organise — especially handy with babies or very young children.

The studio allows for a wide range of looks: a light backdrop for soft, timeless portraits, a dark backdrop for something more dramatic, natural light where the room allows. It is also an ideal option in winter or in bad weather, when shooting outdoors simply is not possible.

made for children.

A studio session lasts about an hour. We play, we talk, we move around — the children do not pose. I build the images with a neutral backdrop, soft lighting and a framing that brings out their faces and their personality. The photographs are delivered within two weeks through a private gallery.
